Holly-Hunter

Holly Hunter was an American actress, who gained fame due to her roles in films Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles. The film Piano has won several awards for her including an Oscar. Her career in acting started with Broadway with a variety of Broadway and Off Broadway projects. Acting has always been her passion. In fifth grade, she was cast as Helen Keller in an original play. In the fifth grade, due to mumps, she lost her hearing in the left ear. But she didn't let it stop her from performing. When she was in college studying drama, she moved into New York City with her ambitions with her sights set. She ran into Beth Henley in an elevator and they collaborated on Broadway Crimes of the Heart which was Hunter's debut film. Her first role in film came after she relocated from Los Angeles. She has since appeared in several films, TV series and films over the course of a 30-year career. Holly Hunter is a Hollywood Walk of Fame star as well as a winner of the Women in Film Lucy Award.
